KIDS FITNESS CLASSES
Lack of access to physical activity during early childhood is a critical national problem that leads to long-term negative health consequences and affects academic performance in school. By providing age appropriate, fun, after-school physical activity programs - Kids Fit Zone seeks to inspire an early love of sports and fitness that will provide the foundation for healthy living.
Our number one goal is to MAKE FITNESS FUN! We want to inspire kids to lead a healthy, active life and hope that through early exposure to fitness at Kids Fit Zone, our program will help children develop a love of fitness that translates into healthy choices as they grow.
By teaching children at a young age that fitness can be fun, and allowing them to enjoy benefits associated with participation in organized sports and fitness classes – such as making healthy choices, achieving and maintaining high academic standards, and experiencing team-building and leadership roles.
Using the power of positive reinforcement to pursue winning and the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports, Kids Fit Zone hopes to raise the trajectory of these children’s lives and see them become healthy, successful, and compassionate teenagers and adults.
Kids need to stay active and participate in physical activity on a regular basis. Exercise keeps kids healthy and helps them maintain their ideal weight. According to the Centers for Disease Control, children should perform 60 minutes or more of physical activity every day. Calisthenics or bodyweight exercises are recommended for children under the age of 13. Starting children too early with weight training can hinder their growth; most children aren't at a mature age to execute the exercises properly. Several calisthenics may be performed safely by children to help them improve strength and overall health.

Kids can learn postures and breathing exercises. Yoga enhances flexibility, refines coordination, and develops concentration that will help them in their daily routine which can be stressful for them. It focuses on calming techniques and promote mental health while creating a fun way for them to participate and focus on yoga techniques.
Yoga has a positive impact on a child that will be helpful when they are dealing with distractions or persuasion from their peers. Academic, behavioral, emotional, and physical are the key benefits of yoga to young children.
We make exercise, hard work, and learning fun! “Kickboxing” is an integration of Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai and has applications for self-defense, competition, and functional fitness. Kids will learn and develop their stance, footwork, and basic stand-up techniques. This class teaches punches, elbows, knees, kicks, and defense techniques.
The 60 minute class will strengthen and condition both the bodies and minds of the students. Students will learn how to move and control their bodies, increase strength and fitness, and improve coordination and athleticism. They will also learn when it is appropriate to use Kickboxing techniques, how to practice self-control and respect, and to work as a cooperative team member. These skills will not only improve students quality of life, but can enhance performance in other sports and activities.
Kid’s Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self-defense system that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. Jiu-Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground.
Our program places a strong emphasis in physical, mental, and spiritual development for the purposes of self-defense and personal growth. In addition, we have an advance training program that hones the sport side of Jiu-Jitsu to prepare you for competition.
Whether you’re looking for self-defense, sport training, and or just a bit more confidence and self-esteem for your child, the kid’s Jiu-Jitsu program is a great place to start. LEARN MORE
